Fans went over their heads when Rockstar Games took to Twitter to hint that a possible "Red Dead Redemption 2" game may finally be in the works. The post has been retweeted more than ten thousand times over. This could only mean that fans are definitely hungry for the release of another "Red Dead" game. Will the title be released soon?
'Red Dead Redemption' To Be Unveiled This Year?
On Monday, Rockstar Games teased the much-awaited follow-up to the "Red Dead Redemption" title, VG247 reported. The game publisher simply posted a series of tweets starting off with the company's logo over a bright red background.
The said post was shared over 40,000 times in the span of three hours, gaining around 110,000 shares as of publication. This only means that fans are still anticipating "Red Dead Redemption w" even after 6 years.
There were earlier speculations that Rockstar may unveil something big before the year ends. However, no information was revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year.
Meanwhile, a follow-up post soon followed, which all but confirmed "Red Dead Redemption 2." The image shows seven cowboys on a hill, standing against the sun's bright red horizon.
The Verge believes that Rockstar Game will be revealing more details in the coming days. Given the appearance of the seven cowboys, the online publication speculates that "Red Dead Redemption 2" may refer to "The Magnificent Seven." But who are they?
'Red Dead 3' Or 'Red Dead Redemption 2'?
"The Magnificent Seven" follows the story of seven cowboys contracted to save a town. However, the cowboys could also mean the different online features of "Red Dead Redemption 2."
It should be noted that Rockstar's hit game "Grand Theft Auto" found tremendous success with its inclusion to online games. Aside from the second promotional art, one can deduce that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is set to be released on fall in 2017.
It was earlier reported by GameNGuide that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be released in the fall of 2017 as speculated. Aside from hinting the release date, the promotional poster also revealed that a trailer will be coming out this Thursday.
However, it remains a mystery if "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be a prequel or sequel. Do you think the second title will tackle the story of "The Magnificent Seven?" Sound off in the comment box below.
