'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Update: Official Trailer Released, Shows Entire Guardian Gang Including Tiny Groot

Just hours after the release of a teaser poster, a trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is now live on Marvel's official YouTube channel. The trailer, which runs for one minute and 26 seconds, gives a glimpse of some interesting action scenes, as well as a sneak peek of Tiny Groot. The trailer gives us a small chunk of what we'll see in theaters on May 5, 2017.

The trailer opens with a zoom-in shot of the gang's space suits, which can be used for emergencies and also for fun. Another scene has Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) entering an unknown location wearing a new outfit. With "Hooked on a Feeling" playing in the background, the trailer shows the original cast of characters from the first installment, including Star-Lord struggling with his ship, Gamora (Zoe Saldana) leaping with her sword and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Yondu (Michael Rooker) calmly walking past falling enemies.

Perhaps the trailer's most notable moment is when Drax (Dave Bautista) gives Star-Lord unsolicited advice on his love life. Star-Lord acknowledges that he and Gamora are different people, and Drax suggests he should find someone as "pathetic" as him and stop going after Gamora. After the advice, Drax proceeds to give Star-Lord an unwelcome hug. If you watch until the end, you'll see Rocket blast off a wall and Tiny Groot peeking from behind.

This official trailer release follows a sizzle reel that was shown during this year's Comic-Con. In the reel, Tiny Groot, Yondu and Rocket are captured by Ravagers but managed to hatch an escape plan. The three then moonwalk their way out of the Ravagers' lair and into freedom.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is the sequel to 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy", which earned Marvel $733 million in the U.S. Box Office. "Vol. 2" will introduce new characters Ego (Kurt Russell) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). Ego is a cosmic being and Peter Quill's father. He also raised Mantis, another member of the Guardians who struggles with social interaction.
