‘Transformers: The Last Knight,’ Release Date, News & Update: Set video ‘Room Roll’

The fifth installment to the shape-shifting robot franchise, "Transformers: The Last Knight" has yet to have a trailer for every fan to obsess about, but a new set video reveals more about what's going in the film.

Released in the Transformers: The Last Knight's official page, a behind-the-scenes video titled "Room Roll" features the eponymous "Room Roll," a spinning gyro set piece meant to depict a nauseous technological location where the characters of Mark Wahlberg and Laura Haddock are seen holding on to an iron framework. Screams could be heard from the actors, mostly from Haddock, who is conspicuously tensed.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" is once again helmed by Director Michael Bay, infamous for his explosions and stereotype-filled movies. Mark Wahlberg returns to the role of protagonist human, Cade Yeager, a mechanic and inventor who is an ally of the Autobots.

Also returning to the "Transformers:The Last Knight" franchise are Stanley Tucci, who plays Joshua Joyce, an arrogant inventor of KSI Industries who revived Megatron as Galvatron and gave rise to his new Decepticon minions. Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, who plays NEST soldiers William Lennox and Robert Epps respectively, as well as John Turturro as Seymour Simmons.

Newcomers for "Transformers: The Last Knight" include Isabela Monet, who plays Izabella, a street-smart tomboy who will befriend a little Autobot scooter named Squeeks, and Laura Haddock, whose name and role are yet to be revealed.

As reported by The Telegraph, "Transformers: The Last Knight" features Optimus Prime in the lead robot role along with new villains, new alternate forms for old characters such as Autobots Bumblebee and Drift and Decepticon Barricade, and a new menacing tusked form for longtime Transformers antagonist, Megatron.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" would be released on June 23, 2017 and is the second installment of Michael Bay's new Transformers trilogy.
