'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Updates: Bob Odenkirk Teases of Reunion with Walter White, Jesse Pinkman in New Season

Fans of "Better Call Saul" have been receiving some good news lately. First is that filming for Season 3 has already begun late last month in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The show's star Bob Odenkirk also recently dropped hints about who among the well-loved "Breaking Bad" characters will possibly make an appearance in the upcoming season.

According to a Albuquerque Journal report, Odenkirk spilled on the idea that the two biggest "Breaking Bad" stars might be appearing in "Better Call Saul" Season 3. As every fan of the two shows would know, the latter is a prequel to the first series where Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) were the main characters.

Although Odenkirk usually keeps himself in the dark about the future regarding the show in order not to reveal plot twists at the wrong time, it didn't stop him from making the playful speculation. According to him, Jesse's appearance in "Better Call Saul" Season 3 is likely due to him knowing Saul in the mother series. Odenkirk feels that Jesse has somewhat of an understanding of Saul Goodman.

Saul and Jesse's former interactions were not the center of any storyline in either shows, it can be confirmed from Odenkirk's speculation that should the writers bring in Jesse for "Better Call Saul" Season 3, their intertwined worlds will be explored more in detail.

As for the highly anticipated appearance of Walter White in "Better Call Saul" Season 3, Odenkirk said in the same interview that he thinks that the showrunners might just decide to do that and the fans will see Walter in the series. He also thinks that Bryan Cranston will be game for the event if ever.

One character from "Breaking Bad" that is sure to be returning for "Better Call Saul" Season 3 is Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito). This was confirmed by Odenkirk himself in "Jimmy Kimmel Live" reports Time. Since last season's finale was aired however, fans already figured it out through the clever little message hidden in all of last season's episode titles. When the first letters of these are put together, they spell out "Fring's Back".

Some characters from the old series such as Tuco Salamanca, Hector "Tio" Salamanca, Ken and Domingo "Krazy-8" Molina have appeared in the first two seasons of "Better Call Saul". It is clear that Fring is not the first character being brought back into the spinoff prequel series. And, judging from Odenkirk's recent teasers of Bryan and Jesse going back into Saul's world, he certainly won't be the last one either.
