‘Saints Row 4’: How Different Will It Be From ‘Saints Row 3?’

“Saints Row: The Third” saw the Third Street Saints evolve from a simple street gang to a brand name. Information is starting to come out about what to expect from “Saints Row 4.”

For a franchise known for its craziness, the next “Saints Row” game is already shaping up to be even more insane than the previous installments.

Steve Jaros, creative director for the game, tells IGN Stephen Colbert was under consideration to be the President of the United States of America for the next game. Another idea under consideration was putting dragons into the series.

"I have concept art that’s amazing. It’s Stephen Colbert on a battlefield holding the American flag, his sleeves are ripped off, he’s got a bald eagle tattoo. That’s Steven Jr,” Jaros tells IGN.

The game is also set to be much larger than previous installments both in terms of the size the world as well as content available on the disc.

“When you ask me what do you say to fans who are worried about there not being enough content on the disc, I say you're not ready. You have no idea,” Jaros tells Destructoid“The other day I was playing the build, I was supposed to be reviewing dialogue in different missions, right? I'm on this path, and I stop and go 'oh there's this open world thing I want to go and do!' It's four hours later, I've only played three missions in like four hours. It just pulls you in with all this open world content for you to explore and do, and there's so much of it.”

The next “Saints Row” is currently set for a 2013 release for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Whether there will be a Nintendo Wii U version remains unclear.
