It's official; X-23 will debut as Hugh Jackman's young ward in "Logan". Although the official trailer for "Wolverine 3" doesn't show Laura's adamantium claws, the little mutant does get in on some action against the Reavers.
Judging from the "Logan" stuntwork, it looks like X-23 could do some serious damage in future MCU flicks. Will one of these movies eventually be Ryan Reynolds' "Deadpool 2"?
But Before We Get Into The Fun 'Deadpool 2' Speculations, More Info On The Actress Playing X-23 In 'Logan'
The "Logan" trailer has truly been a revelation for Marvel fans, and it also clarified some details about Hugh Jackman's little costar. Empire has just been revealed that the young actress playing X-23 is actually Dafne Keen, not Sienna Novikov as previously reported (via Omega Underground).
Novikov is actually Keen's stunt double so it is possible that both girls will end up playing two sides of Laura if she does end up in other MCU flicks aside from "Logan." Who knows, X-23 might be the one character who could beat up Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson in "Deadpool 2".
X-23 Becomes New Wolverine, Faces Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson In 'Deadpool 2'?
GamenGuide has previously written about speculations that Wolverine will show up in the "Deadpool" sequel. However, it won't be Hugh Jackman since he will finally say goodbye to the character after "Logan". There is a huge possibility that Dafne Keen's Laura will become the new Wolverine by the end of the MCU flick before X-23 gets a slice of the action (snikt snikt) alongside Ryan Reynolds in "Deadpool 2".
X-23 debuts in "Logan", which will premiere on March 3, 2017. The "Deadpool 2" release date has not yet been announced.
