'Gears of War 4' News & Updates: New Changes Include Worse Punishments For Quitters, And Other Balance Fixes!

"Gears of War 4," while a good game, is not without its problems. There are still some gameplay and balance issues that need fixing and game developer, The Coalition, is pretty aware of what needs to be changed. This is why it has announced that it's already addressing certain issues and concerns a lot of players have brought up.

GameSpot reports that the head honchos of The Coalition are already listening to fans' concerns about "Gears of War 4." In an official post on the game's forums, community manager Adam Fletcher explained that the developer is already working on future patches that will fix issues like multiplayer gameplay being taken over by too much long-range combat. There's also a glitch players are dealing with, in which games will start even though there aren't enough players in the server yet.

Meanwhile, another issue in online "Gears of War 4" play is the leavers and quitters, which seem to be a lot. So far, the only response from Fletcher is that the studio is looking into harsher penalties, but the fact that he didn't elaborate those could might mean that it won't be coming soon. It could still be a while before The Coalition implements stricter penalties.

Other things on the laundry list of "Gears of War 4" fixes include the balancing of weapons, such as the Hammerburst. There are a lot of things to be fixed. The Coalition also wants something to do with fixing matchmaking and crossplay between players on the Xbox One and the PC. From the sheer amount of things that need to be fixed in "Gears of War 4," it seems as though the game released broken. As soon as The Coalition release a patch (or patches) for "Gears of War 4," you'll be the first to know.
