Viewers will get to know more family secrets in the upcoming episode of the new dramedy series "This is Is". More details about Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) family life in the past will be revealed in the episode titled "The Game Plan". One of them is the revelation of the reason behind their long standing admiration for the Pittsburg Steelers.
In the upcoming episode of "This is Us", Rebecca and Jack will have an argument because of their opposing views about starting a family according to the synopsis from The Futon Critic. In the present time, Kevin (Justin Hartley) will discover that the script of the play he is in is actually relevant to his own life. Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and and his wife Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) will encounter something that they never expected happening.
In the "This is Us" previous episode, Kevin took the next step in pursuing his dream of a big broadway career. During the auditions for a play, he met Olivia (Janet Montgomery). She is an actress who seemed to be not impressed by him at all. But, due to his acting stint in "The Manny" and despite of his messy audition, Kevin eventually got the part.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, EP Dan Fogelman teased what is in store for Kevin and his new friend Olivia. He said that Olivia will play a big part in Kevin's story wherein some of the next episodes of "This is Us" will be exploring how Kevin will get in way over his head.
Fogelman added that to Kevin, Olivia is the most appealing yet the scariest woman he could possibly have welcomed into his life given his situation. There will be huge fireworks between them in future "This is Us" episodes. But, for Olivia, her art always comes first so Kevin could not quite trust her in anything she is doing.
Kate's (Chrissy Metz) insecurities with her body was also explored in the last "This is Us" episode. Fogelman revealed that her adolescent journey will be rocky since aside from her body issues, Kate will also struggle with self belief and self worth.
Fogelman added that Kate's special bond with her dad will be really defining for her. It will become a big part of Kate's journey as the series moves forward. "This is Is" airs Tuesdays on NBC.
