‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Domain Hint At Something Similar To ‘GTA Online’! More Game Details Here

“Red Dead Redemption 2” has been made official and now gamers are eager to see what Rockstar Games has up its sleeves. Details on that are limited as of now but if the company is wise, it should make sure that this is a game that can be played good enough even on stand alone.

The changes for “Red Dead Redemption 2” are expected to be tremendous, Forbes reported. That includes new maps, graphics, and plenty of features. While gamers are excited to see what these things could possibly be, another game under the Rockstar umbrella could eventually spoil the party – “Grand Theft Auto Online”.

“GTA Online” is reportedly the seventh most played on the PC with an amassed 35,546 gamers though most of the revenue generated come from online transactions. Hence the keyword here is ‘online’, somehow hinting that if Rockstar wants “Red Dead Redemption 2” to be a hit, adding a bit of multiplayer online flavor could jack up expectations and profit, Wired reported.

It would be best to take note that the elements for a wider reach and possibilities for “Red Dead Redemption 2” could already be in the air. That includes registering domains for “Red Dead Online” which hints at online gaming possibilities.

So is Rockstar trying to follow the script that worked for “Grand Theft Auto Online” on “Red Dead Redemption 2”? Seeing how “GTA Online” generated $500 million in revenue, Take-Two Interactive could be thinking just that. But how can game developers go about it?

“Red Dead Redemption 2” may thus be no more than a springboard for “Red Dead Online”. The sequel will continue to satisfy the gaming appetite of gamers on PCs and consoles but the bigger picture could be online play.

Done the right way, Take-Two and Rockstar could be looking at another multi-million influx. But to do that, “Red Dead Redemption 2” needs to ignite something which will eventually move on to “Red Dead Online” to spark a whole new phenomenon.
