"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2017. Bioware has masterfully adapted the science fiction opera genre to the world of video games and fans are waiting with excitement to get their hands on the latest installment of the Mass Effect series. The fourth Mass Effect has already been confirmed to be releasing on the PS4, Playstation NEO, Xbox One, and PC, but could Nintendo be getting its own Andromeda port?

With the recent unveiling of the next-gen Nintendo console, named the Nintendo Switch, fans have been speculating whether the Mass Effect series would be making its debut on the Nintendo brand. According to iDigital Times, however, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will not be coming to the Nintendo Switch. When recently asked by a fan on Twitter, Michael Gamble, Bioware's in-house producer, confirmed the list of platforms which Andromeda will be released on, purposefully leaving out the Nintendo Switch.

This development should come as little surprise to those acclimated with the Mass Effect series. Prior to "Mass Effect: Andromeda," Bioware attempted to support Nintendo with a release of a special edition of "Mass Effect 3" for the Wii U. The results were less than stellar and Bioware pulled their support on Nintendo's official third party developer list. In other news, Bioware is currently in preparation to showcase "Mass Effect: Andromeda" on one of Bioware's major show events: N7 Day on November 7 of this year.

Michael Gamble continued to interact with fans on his official Twitter account and teased that fans of the series could be in for quite a treat come to N7 Day. Bioware has already promised a brand new trailer for the fans on November 7, but we could be getting even more.

Gamble did not go on to explain further on what to expect on N7 Day and left it at that. Rumors have speculated that Bioware is planning something big to unveil on their yearly showcase, with fans expecting to find out more about the central plot of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." No official release date has been announced by Bioware yet, but reports have suggested that fans should expect the game to be released sometime in March or early 2017.
