Follow Up To 'Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag' Already In The Works

While "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" is still fairly new, officially announced only earlier this month, Ubisoft seems to think it's already a shoe-in for success. So much so that they're already working on a follow up.

Jade Raymond, head of Ubisoft Toronto, told Polygon that her studio is working in conjunction with Ubisoft Montreal on the next "Assassin's Creed" game following "Black Flag."

With details already tight just for "Black Flag" alone, obviously, Raymond wasn't offering anything in the way of new information about the next game, only that as a staffer who worked on the first title, she was happy to be back aboard the "Creed" boat.

"The thing that's great to me is that there is still some of my favorite people who, you know, we were in the trenches shipping that first one," she says. "We lived through all of that stuff together and some of those guys are still on the franchise and have been there. So it's a just for me to work with some of those people again."

There's a sentiment that "Black Flag" seems to be a bit of a rush job, with news of its arrival coming so soon after "Assassin's Creed 3" hit store shelves. As a result, it comes as a bit of a shock that a follow up is already confirmed.

We'll have more on this new title as information becomes available.
