In celebration of the 100th episode of "Arrow", showrunner Marc Guggenheim confirmed the episode's tittle. "Arrow" Season 5 episode 8 will be called "Invasion!" The "Arrow" 100th episode will bring the 4-way crossover event with "The Flash", DC's "Legends of Tomorrow", and "Supergirl".
It was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con that the 100th episode to be featured in "Arrow" Season 5 would take place during the annual crossover. Fans were worried during that time because the Green Arrow might just be a sidekick to The Flash and Supergirl in the crossover. However, Marc Guggenheim will make sure to honor the cast and crew of Arrow over the past 5 years.
The crossover of the 100th episode in "Arrow" Season 5 is based on the 1988 DC Comics event series tittle "Invasion!". According to ComicBook, a powerful alien race called the Dominators led an alliance of alien races against Earth after fueling hysteria. The want to take away the powers of the superhuman population that was too large and to go unchecked.
"Arrow" Season 5 showrunner Guggenheim shared a cover sheet to the 100th episode of "Arrow" on Twitter. The title of the episode was blacked out except for the exclamation point at the end, The CW won't confirm during that time. The CW announced the Dominators as the crossover's villains that led to the conclusion of the episode's title as "Invasion!"
Marc Guggenheim also praised Stephen Amells' performance during filming of the 100th episode of "Arrow". "There's one moment in it that I think is probably Stephen's finest performance to date," Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly.
"Arrow" Season 5 is on its way to its 4th episode this week and it will take four more episodes before fans can watch the 100th episode. The four-way crossover of "The Flash", "Arrow", "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow" is expected to air in November.
