"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" had been out for just a few months now, and it had garnered a lot of success among gamers around the world. However, this does not stop the developers from immediately working on a sequel, "Uncharted 5."
"Uncharted 5" Already Under Development without Naughty Dog?
Many players of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" still has not finished the game, yet it seems that there have already been talks about the possible sequel. "Uncharted 5" has been confirmed to be under development, that is at least according to the creative director Neil Druckmann.
Druckmann also said that the upcoming "Uncharted 5" may be developed without video game developer Naughty Dog. The studio has been involved with every "Uncharted" title ever released. This could mean that "Uncharted 5" may be the first game in the franchise that would not tout the developer's touch.
Marissa Chase would then be taking over the lead role and will be replacing Nathan Drake in "Uncharted 5" game. Druckmann then mention that there is a possibility of Cutter returning in a new installment. Also, Nolan North would also be making another game. this is due to Sony's insistence on continuing the video game franchise.
Contradicting Statements
With this staggering news of Naughty Boy being dropped in the development of "Uncharted 5," it is surprising to learn that the developers have proceeded on their own for the sequel, according to a report on NSEAVoice. The information was posted on a tweet, which has since been deleted. However, it stated that Naughty Dog is already hunting for ideas for the plot of "Uncharted 5."
The contradictory statements by both the creative director and the supposed developer have the fans getting worried about the actual status of "Uncharted 5." However, if the partnership still continues, as with the previous games, then there is no doubt that the upcoming game will once again deliver the maximum gaming experience to the players.
