'Pokemon Go' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: How to Get 4X More Candy From Eggs and Buddy Pokemon; Catch Rare Pokemon on Halloween
It's all treats and candies for trainers around the world, as "Pokemon Go" chimes in on the Halloween spirit. Putting a twist on the "trick-or-treat" tradition during the holiday, Niantic launched a four-day celebration event for Pokemon trainers from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, where players can expect twice the normal amount of Candies for every Pokemon you catch on "Pokemon Go." That's a whopping six candies per catch, which means six times the level up for Pokemon.
Candies, more candies!
More importantly, buddy Pokemon on "Pokemon Go" will be awarding Candy four times faster than they usually do. The Professor, on the other hand, will give you two Candies for every Pokemon transferred to him, Players also get twice the candies for every hatched Egg.
For the new initiates, buddy Pokemon is a fairly recent "Pokemon Go" update that allows players to walk around with a Pokemon of their choice. Said Pokemon will earn players candy for every distance walked with him, although the spawn rate for that is different for every Pokemon. According to PokemonGoHub, Lapras ranks #1 as best buddy Pokemon in terms of distance efficiency and spawn rate.
Walking around for treats have never been more productive than on "Pokemon Go," as well. Apart from the treats, players can also get their fill of their favorite spooky Pokemon, which will become all the more popular and common during the Halloween season. "Pokemon Go" players can expect several of the following Pokemon to show up: Zubat and Golbat, ghost Pokemon Gastly, Haunter and Gengar, and Psychic Pokemon Drowzee and Hypno.
Of course, these festivities are all attempts to lure players back to the Niantic game, which has slowly been bleeding out "Pokemon GO" players since its July launch, according to The Guardian. Nevertheless, the prospects of gaining more Pokemon and Candies along the trick-or-treat route may be strong enough to bring back its dwindling playership.
