‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Latest Spoilers, News & Update: Norman Reedus Teases Darker Daryl, Hints Future Actions From Glenn’s Death

Exciting and violent things are in store for beloved characters in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. Cast member Norman Reedus recently shared how Glenn's death will impact Daryl's life and other interesting details about the AMC series.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere gave viewers a look at Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) brutality including Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his gang's emotional anguish. Aired on Oct. 23, Sunday, the episode also featured Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn's (Steven Yeun) death whose heads were bashed by Negan's barb-wire bat Lucille.

Many fans blamed Daryl (Reedus) for Glenn's death. If not for his outburst, Negan would not have killed Glenn to teach Rick and his team a lesson. However, Daryl will have a similar reaction and will have a hard time recovering from the ordeal.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Reedus commented that Glenn's death will weigh heavily on the said character and will impact his future actions. Feeling responsible for his friend's demise, Daryl will try to cope with whatever "s---ty thing" that Negan will throw at him in the AMC series' new season.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will also feature a darker Daryl who will do unspeakable things in upcoming episodes. Daryl will remain a strong fighter but with a jaded view of the zombie apocalyptic world that he lives in. Reedus explained, "He hates the world that we're in ... he definitely no longer sees anything good in the world, that's for sure."

Reedus also made mention of Daryl's close bond with Rick. Season 7 of the AMC series will show the two characters' strained friendship, as well as the different group dynamics between Rick and his team.

Meanwhile, cast member Lincoln also made a similar remark in an interview with Time where he commented on how each character will deal with their grief and trauma following Negan's attack. Despite the huge obstacles that beloved characters will face in Season 7, Lincoln remained hopeful that Rick and his friends will eventually find a way to recover from the brutal incident and regain their freedom.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 airs every Sunday on AMC. Watch the preview for episode 2 below:
