The challenges brought about by the first DLC Ashes of Ariandel are difficult enough to wow some serious gamers. The design was intricately thought of, showing off a small village, a huge church and an abandoned tower. Players of "Dark Souls 3" will enjoy discovering new weapons, armor sets and even magic to defeat the evil in the land.
On the other hand, some critics say that "Dark Souls 3" Ashes of Ariandel has a vague narrative. The descriptions of some items and some dialogues are a little bit confusing as well, but its voiceover is pleasantly eerie.
Ashes of Ariandel will only take around three to five hours to explore. "Dark Souls 3" players seem to find that too short to play. The game's first DLC costs only $15, but players can also go for $25 for a bundle that has the second expansion which is expected to be released in 2017.
