'Chicago P.D.' Season 4 Spoilers: Drug Ring Targeting Students Gets Busted; Halstead Hopes to Stop Mouse From Enlisting in the Army Again

After a two week hiatus, "Chicago P.D." Season 4 will return this Wednesday with an episode that will see Chicago's finest attempt to bust a drug ring that has college students as its main targets.

It all starts when a mysterious backpack is washed up in the lake in the upcoming "Chicago P.D." episode reports NBC Universal Media Village. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) finds a pack of deadly opiates inside it. Known as fentanyl, the fatal drug is known to have been responsible for the deaths of many people in Chicago. Soon, the body of a dead college student is discovered by the team.

In the "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode titled "A War Zone", Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) will pose as a college student in order to get information and eventually bust the drug ring. The team learns that a drug dealer named Red knows the source of fentanyl in Chicago. Ruzek poses as a drug junkie looking for a quick fix and transacts with Red that will lead to the dealer's arrest.

Meanwhile, in the same "Chicago P.D." episode, Mouse (Samuel Hunt) will worry everyone in the department when he revealed his intention of reenlisting in the army and leave his job as the tech expert in the Intelligence Unit. He asks Voight to drop his felony record for him to sign up once again.

According to TV Guide, Mouse's friend Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), who served as Army Ranger with Mouse, will be adamant in his opposition to his idea according to "Chicago P.D." Season 4 spoilers. It will now be up to Halstead to convince Mouse not to go back to the difficult life of an enlisted man.

As "Chicago P.D." fans know, it was Halstead who helped Mouse get back on his feet during a difficult phase in his life. He now believes that if Mouse will enlist in the army, both their efforts will all be for nothing.

Elsewhere in "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode 5, Patrol Officers Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Tay (Li Jun Li) will come across a bloodied child who later exposes a home life with a dark and twisted secret. Jay Halstead's brother Will (Nick Gehlfuss) from "Chicago Med" will be making a stop in the department to warn him of the dangers of the new drug fentanyl which has already claimed many lives in the hospital.
