‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ Latest News & Update: Mod Support Available With Remastered Version! More Characters, Weapons Are Coming? Gameplay Details

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" is nearly here with Bethesda showcasing improved graphics and game performance. While the enhancements may not sound grand, they could be preps for "Elder Scrolls 6" which Pete Hines says is nowhere close to amicable stages of development.

With most dialed in on the scintillating graphics for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition," many are wondering if further features could come along with it. Mod support is something folks will be keeping a close eye on, something that will come with restrictions as mentioned in a previous post.

After anxious months on how Bethesda and Sony were able to work together to bring mod support for the PS4, it turns out that the feature will be included after all. The only catch is that mods will only work for gamers if they use the assets made available in the game like "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition".

That said, it should be worth noting that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" will require a massive 22.75 GB of space. Included are all the DLCs tied up to "The Elder Scrolls V" as well as game mods, Forbes reported. For those who have gotten hold of previous game versions, this is practically five times the original size it was pegged with.

That said, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" gamers can look forward to the 'limited' mods included and see how it pans out compared to the Xbox and PC versions. There may be a glaring difference but this is the best the Bethesda was able to do at least for now.

Looking forward, the future state of mods for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" will depend on further talks between the two companies. Sony has shown some apprehension related to copyright infringement rows so it will be interesting what can be worked out.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" will be released on Oct. 28, free for Steam users who have a copy of the "The Elder Scrolls V: Legendary Edition," Gaming Bolt reported. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" news and updates!
