Microsoft Surface Studio News & Update: A Closer Look at the Mac Killer?

The recent 2016 Microsoft Event has brought new discoveries in the giant tech's lineup. This year however, brought the most surprising revelation of all, Microsoft's first ever PC called the Surface Studio. Rounding up the event, Microsoft introduced the all new Windows 10 OS, the all new VR headsets, gaming for the Xbox One console and more.

But since the Surface Studio took the centerstage at the Microsoft event, we introduce to you the basic specs of the new Microsoft PC. Depending on the price, the specs of the PC will vary too, but for a standard one, expect an Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M with 2GB of RAM and 1TB HD for $2,999.

For the price of $3,499, consumers can get the Surface Studio with Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M with 2GB of RAM and 2TB HD. Ultimately, for the price of $4,199, you can get the PC with Intel Core i7, 32GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce 980M with 4GB of RAM and 2TB HD specs.

Don't mind the weight of the Microsoft Surface Studio, which approximately hits 6.1kg/13.5lbs because there's the hidden, interesting thing. Apparently, the Surface Studio is foldable and can be transformed from its upright position all the way to a 20 degree angle for "studio mode." According to ArsTechnica, the studio mode makes up a computerized drafting table that people can actually draw and write on.

If that's not enough, the Surface Dial that allows human interaction with the Surface Studio readily promises access to its functionality. The basics, via the clicker with haptic feedback include volume change and application features.

Is the new Surface Book a Mac killer? Let's see when Apple holds its event on the 28th of October at their Cupertino headquarters.
