The drama in "Chicago Med" Season 2 continues this week involving the doctors and other personnel of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. Goodwin will reunite with her childhood sweetheart as Dr. Halstead straightens his finances in the episode titled "Inherent Bias". Meanwhile, Reese rescues a sex-trafficking victim in the same episode.
Viewers will be given more insight into Goodwin's (S. Epatha Merkerson) personal life in the upcoming episode 7 of "Chicago Med" Season 2. According to the official synopsis by The Futon Critic, her childhood sweetheart visits the hospital but it won't be a happy reunion as her friend finds himself in dire straits.
Elsewhere in the "Chicago Med" episode, Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) decides to work to get his personal finances in order. He gets lured into an application idea of a concierge doctor to help him out.
Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) takes care of a young woman with a heart infection. But, he will go against Dr. Charles' (Oliver Platt) advice which will lead to some tension between them. Meanwhile, according to "Chicago Med" spoilers, Reese (Rachel DiPillo) helps a former patient who was a victim of sex trafficking when he reaches out to her.
Trouble arises when Reese finds herself too invested on her patient's case that she may need help herself. DiPillo explains to TV Line that her character will make a common rookie mistake in the "Chicago Med" episode of not knowing where to set boundaries. This is specially true for her as a psychiatrist who helps people by delving into people's minds.
According to "Chicago Med" EP Andrew Schneider, Reese got emotionally involved with the young patient who is close to her age. His desperate situation brings out her soul which brought in the emotional connection as well as medical connection between them. Watch the episode on Thursday on NBC.
