'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Latest News & Updates: Here's How Glenn's Death Was Confirmed In 'TWD' S6

It certainly took a long time, but "The Walking Dead" Season 7 has finally confirmed that Negan did in fact kill Glenn with his beloved baseball bat (after he bludgeoned Abraham with Lucille, of course). But did the previous season already hint on Steven Yeun's departure even before the group ended up kneeling in front of the villain?

Glenn's death was already teased in the previous season when he found himself trapped by a zombie horde with the suicidal Nicholas. However, it looks like there were other clues to his fate scattered throughout the sixth season of "TWD" that eventually led to his demise in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

Glenn's 'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Death Was Foreshadowed In 'TWD' Season 6

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 had several hints that Glenn will end up dead really soon. His name was written on Alexandria's memorial wall (although Maggie erased it) when he and Nicholas went missing.

But the most chilling clue happened when Rick and the group tried to save a Hilltop member from the Saviors in "The Walking Dead" Season 6 Episode 12. Glenn discovers pictures of Negan's previous victims in the compound, showing him what will happen in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale also teased Glenn's fate when he reacted to Negan mocking Maggie. The villain laughed off the outburst, saying Glenn gets a "free pass".

The comment somehow hinted that Glenn might have been Negan's first choice before he decided to play eeny meeny miney moe. This is probably why the baddie immediately chose him as the second victim in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

What's Next For Steven Yeun After Glenn's Death In 'The Walking Dead' Season 7?

The future certainly looks bright for Steven Yeun after Glenn died in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere. The actor actually got a job as Conan O'Brien's stand-in during rehearsals for the comedian's TBS talk show, which also employed Michael Cudlitz as Andy Richter's stand-in.
