‘Final Fantasy 15’ Release Date, News & Update: Square Enix Unveils Season Pass DLC Packages; Reveals DLC Concept Arts

"Final Fantasy" fans can look forward to an exciting new world and intriguing characters in the upcoming game "Final Fantasy 15." Players can soon experience more in-game adventures with four new DLC packs, according to Square Enix.

Ahead of "Final Fantasy 15's" release, Square Enix has unveiled its plans for the game's upcoming expansion packs including a new gameplay mode. During the game's panel at the Paris Games event, details of four DLC packages were unveiled. Planned for release as part of a Season pass, the four DLC packages will feature a special episode where gamers can take control of a few non-playable game characters, according to Dual Shockers.

"Final Fantasy 15" as a base game features the playable protagonist named Noctis. Accompanied by his friends Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto, the said game character sets off for a quest to save his homeland.

With the soon-to-be-released DLC packs, gamers can play Noctis' companions in separate episodes. The first "Final Fantasy 15" DLC will focus on Gladiolus where players can explore a new environment, secure weapons or complete in-game challenges. After the Gladiolus-themed DLC, separate episodes for Ignis and Prompto will be released.

The fourth DLC will introduce a new online co-op mode. Titled "Comrades," the DLC puts all four characters together where players can control the team as a group.

Meanwhile, when bundled with the Season pass, the four DLCs will be available for $24.99. However, players can also opt to purchase the DLCs separately.

Apart from the DLC details, Square Enix also unveiled three concept arts for the upcoming expansion packs. Two images featured Gladiolus in eerie locations, while the last illustration showed Prompto riding away on a motorcycle with a massive drill-like vessel behind him.

In other news, the new "Final Fantasy 15" teaser clip gave fans a quick glimpse at Noctis and the challenges that await him. Titled "Omen," the said video was described as a vision that Noctis' father had about a scary and catastrophic future.

"Final Fantasy 15" will be released on Nov. 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Watch the "Omen" teaser below:
