‘The 100’ Season 4 Release Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Can Clarke, Grounders Survive Apocalypse? Clarke Has New Love Interest? Plot Details

There had been speculations that The CW's "The 100" has been cancelled after Season 3 didn't live up to the viewers' expectation. But recently, "The 100" Season 4 has been confirmed and the show is already in its post-production stage.

The confirmation that "The 100" Season 4 post production has begun only means that the release window can be expected between late January and early February, according to Melty. At the moment, official plot details have not been released but there were hints about what to expect from the new season, especially when the apocalypse arc will come to play.

It can be recalled in "The 100" Season 3 that Clarke (Eliza Taylor) managed to take down the artificial intelligence, A.L.I.E, by hitting its kill switch. A.L.I.E, before being shut down, gave Clarke a warning that Earth will be destroyed and will remain uninhabitable for six months. Clarke had fought different tribes in the past but she'll be up against a new enemy in "The 100" Season 4, which is Mother Nature itself.

There are several theories as to how Clarke and the other characters can survive the impending radiation apocalypse in "The 100" Season 4. She and her group can go back in space or they can try surviving below ground. There's also the option to survive out on sea, and according to Melty's report, she could meet Luna (Nadia Hilker) and the Boat People. But it appears that the waters won't be a safe place since it is reported to be a problem once the radiation spreads.

Meanwhile, Clarke's journey towards healing after Lexa's (Alycia Debnam-Carey) death will also be one of the things that fans will look forward to in "The 100" Season 4. As revealed by showrunner Jason Rothenberg, Clarke will be with someone new in the long run, but first she will find it hard to move on from Lexa. As for the rest of the characters, there is a need to figure out how to survive the apocalypse and also think if they really deserve to survive in the first place.
