'Halo 5' Latest Update: New DLC, New Maps, Better Gaming Experience

The developer of Halo 5: Guardians teased fans of further content coming to the game. In the words of Josh Holmes of 343 Industries, he mentions that there will be new maps, improved spectator experience and many more. However, when it will be coming is still yet to be announced.

This is not the first DLC Halo 5 will be receiving. In total, there has been over nine free updates to the game which were released in the past. This has brought 15 new maps, six game modes and a lot of items. Due to the continued support of Microsoft, the game is not declining and the playerbase is still very strong, reported by Gamespot.

This week, Halo 5 will be turning a year old, however, the developer still hasn't pulled the plug in supporting the game. Among the more specific details on the upcoming DLC include being able to join live custom games on the Xbox One and PC's running Windows 10 and improving matchmaking on current servers, shown in Halo Waypoint. The company intends to further strengthen the multiplayer aspect of the game which is bringing in the players.

Despite the lack of an upcoming date, fans may not need to wait for so long. Josh Holmes specified in his teasing that the concrete details will be coming in the "not-so-distant" future. This hints that the developer of Halo 5 is already on route in finishing the DLC. Considering 343 Industries provided updates 9 out of the 12 months Halo 5 was in the market, fans shouldn't be worried about delays.

Josh Holmes is happy with the condition of Halo 5. Despite already celebrating their game's anniversary, they are not looking into stopping future updates anytime soon. This comes after the franchise still continues to have a strong market and is continually bringing in unique players.
