‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ DLC Latest News, Release Date & Update: Expansion to Include Four New Cities; Harsh Penalties for Cheaters Implemented

The popular open world action-adventure video game "Grand Theft Auto 5" has been a subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet after a report emerges that a new DLC of the game will feature new exciting cities and penalties for players caught cheating.

According to the report, game developer Rockstar Games is expected to expand the map of the "Grand Theft Auto 5" online game as it will try to add new contents to it. The report added that the "GTA 6" might not happen anytime soon as Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive are planning to expand the game, which could potentially go up until 2020. Apparently, the game developers are focusing on the current game installment instead of planning for a new game title.

If rumors prove to be true, there will be four cities to be added to "GTA Online," and it will be interesting how it would affect "Grand Theft Auto 5" once the DLC comes out. According to the reports, the cities will appear to be the updated areas of San Fierro, Vice City, Las Venturas and Liberty City.

According to a report by Gamerant, a source has revealed that these upcoming updates for "Grand Theft Auto 5" are already in the works and could come out in 2017. The expansion would have been released earlier, according to the source, if not for the limitations of older consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, the North Yankton update as well as the Liberty City might come out early next year.

Meanwhile, in a report by VG 24/7, players of "Grand Theft Auto 5" who are caught cheating will get their character reset by the game developer. Players have already expressed their disappointment regarding the anticheat system of Rockstar Games. However, the game developer is definitely serious about reprimanding those who cheat. Stay tuned for more news and updates about "Grand Theft Auto 5."
