‘Macbook Air’ Release Date, News & Update: Why You Shouldn't Buy the Apple Laptop

By Staff Reporter , Updated Oct 31, 2016 08:23 AM EDT

Apple recently launched their Macbook Pro's and believe it or not, they went overboard with their surprising tag price. At any rate and you really want to have the Pro, the cheapest you can buy is for $1,499; and that's not inclusive of the much talked about Touch Bar. And you want to have it all, you can certainly buy the MacBook Pro 13-inch for $1,799 and 15-inch for $2,399. It's certainly a steep price, but you will get what you want.

Fortunately for fans, who really want to get the Mac series, Apple also offers the Macbook Air line in some of their stores. But here's the catch, Apple has not exactly detailed the latest update on the said line. According to the Business Insider, the MacBook Air received a single update, or a refresh in the past, but that's all there is to it.

The refreshed Macbook Air came in the form of a 13-inch model with an 8GB of RAM. It's previous model carried a 4GB of RAM. Other than that, the Macbook Air pretty much stayed on the verge of being the conventional Air that it was. For fans who can't afford the Macbook Pro just yet, this is the nearest they could get with the all new MacBook Air laptop.

In total, the Macbook Air has not lived up to the consumer's expectation. Apple, has since avoided answering queries about the supposed MacBook Air. A refreshed, is definitely different from an upgraded or an all new Macbook Air to say. Meanwhile we can all stay tuned and see whether Apple will release the new Macbook Air 2016 or not. The MacBook Pro laptops were released on the last week of October and the iPhone lines a month earlier in September.
