‘The Blacklist’ Season 4 Latest Spoilers, News & Update: Series Cancelled Due to Low Ratings? Cooper Helps Liz Choose Between Kirk, Red

Despite having a spinoff sequel in the works, the ratings of "The Blacklist" Season 4 has been reportedly deteriorating. With this, many of its avid fans have been getting worried about the future of the franchise.

"The Blacklist" Suffering Low Ratings

"The Blacklist" Season 4 is just two episodes away from its mid-season break. However, the show has been seeing a lot of decline in its ratings. The decrease in viewership has been reported to be slow but continuous.

This finding has been revealed by TV By The Number care of zap2it.com. The report also said the ratings of "The Blacklist" Season 4 has been continually declining ever since moving to the Thursday night time slot in the middle of the second season.

While the decline in ratings has been observed for so long, "The Blacklist" Season 4 had just reached the marginal ratings zone. According to the report, this means that the show has had a same-day rating of 1.2 or lower for four episodes out of five. This gives "The Blacklist" Season 4 a renewal or cancellation chance of 50 percent.

How to Save "The Blacklist"

However, cancelling "The Blacklist" Season 4 now would be coming at a very bad timing. The show's spinoff, "The Blacklist: Redemption," is set to premiere early in 2017.  This means that two shows would go down the drain upon the main show's cancellation.

One thing that NBC could do is to have a syndication deal with Netflix. This could potentially increase the show's viewership as "The Blacklist" Season 4 could be reintroduced to a whole new market. Additionally, fans could then hope that the ratings of "The Blacklist" Season 4  go back up again so the show's future gets a bit brighter.

"The Blacklist" Season 4 Episode 7

Meanwhile, the next episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4 will see Liz, played by Megan Boone, consulting Cooper, portrayed Harold Lennix. She will be asking for his guidance regarding the touch decision she needs to make. She now has to choose between Kirk and Red, played by Ulrich Thomsen and James Spader, respectively.

The next episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4 will be titled "Dr. Adrian Shaw." It will be seeing a whole lot of drama and action that the show is known for. The new "The Balcklist" Season 4 episode will air on November 3, Thursday on NBC at 10PM.
