‘Tomb Raider’ For PC Updated With Performance Upgrade

The PC version of the “Tomb Raider” just got a new update from the game’s PC developer Nixxes Software. The update aims to get rid of several issues relating to an earlier patch.

While the patch, build 1.01.743.0, may not look like much, it does implement a host of performance improvements that users with maxed out PC setting will notice.

Naturally, the update will be auto-downloaded via Steam as soon as the user logs into it, and the site states: “While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we made a Beta available on Steam, Build 742.0, that can be used to switch back to the previous version. Please note however that you can only play multiplayer with people that share your version.”

However, it also added that there is no resolution for the players that are experiencing crashes and major graphical corruption on Nvidia hardware, as of now, and that the company is currently working on it and an update for it could soon be on the cards.

The “Tomb Raider” PC Update 1.01.743.0 Changelog is as follows:

  • Resolved a problem where mouse control in the basecamp upgrade screen would not work properly since build 742.0.
  • Stereo3D parameters for strength and depth can now be modified in the registry beyond their normal in-game range again.
  • GPU performance improvements, specifically at higher quality levels.
