Valve Releases New Substitution Rule For Dota 2 Major; Navi to Disband Soon?

Valve released a new substitution rule for Dota 2 Majors. Apparently, it wasn't noticed by the community.

Subs are no longer registered in the roster lock period, Inquirer eSports reported. Valve said those teams joining the Major may get substitute players from any teams not competing in the Major.

Based on the Dota 2 Major registration, qualified teams for a Major can issue a substitute player as long he's not participating in the Major after qualifiers for that Major are done. In Dota 2 Majors, substitute players and main roster players may not be swapped out. Other issues of Dota players are the Visa troubles or other issues, making them unable to fly to the event.

Meanwhile, there is a rumor that suggests Natus Vincere is likely to disband. This news started when Dream League announced that Navi partook one of the biggest event ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 6, According to the official site, they found a team that will fill their spot.

The team who replaced Navi is Ad Finem who participated at Boston Major. They beat Team Secret and Team Liquid for 2-0 score.

Speaking of Boston Major's Regional Qualifiers, Navi also suffered with a series of lost during the last open qualifiers. The team only got two wins from a total of nine games.

Although the team has gained energy to return to Dota, the team has been outclassed by most teams during TI6. Soon, they ended in the lower bracket for the main event.

Blast from the past, during TI6, Navi made fans excited, making them chant "Na'Vi is Back!" Navi is one of the iconic professional teams of Dota. Last year, it declared its first disbandment and released some of its members.
