'Wonder Woman' Release Date, News & Updates: New Trailer Recapped; Could This Be the Game Changer for DC?

The "Wonder Woman" trailer that recently came out is considerably one that many have already called out before even surfacing, especially the die-hard DC fanatics. That being said, a recap on the recent factors that the new trailer showed highlights just how the film could become a good contender all throughout.

For those who may not entirely be aware, the "Wonder Woman" film is based off a titular comic book character with the name Princess Diana. Being born in a land known as Themyscira, Diana finds herself having strong feelings for a man named Steve Trevor after washing ashore their island.

According to recent reports, the new trailer for "Wonder Woman" started with a narrative of Diana talking about how she feels with the trials that she underwent. Early in the clip, the connection of Steve and Diana have been established, with glimpses as to how the war came to be. In the video, Trevor warns the Amazon women on the impending danger that will soon befall them, and that he intends to aid them to victory.

The "Wonder Woman" trailer then shows how Diana looks to no longer withstand the bloodshed, coming with Steve to the mainland of man and stop the war. The clip also shows how Diana learns to mingle with other men, given that Steve is the first and only man she has loved, protecting him at all costs. Apart from the world of men, General Antiope and Queen Hippolyta were also seen in the footage that seemed to be skeptical in letting Diana go on the perilous journey.

As some fans may be doubtful of the way that Warner Bros. and DC displayed their films, it is almost arguable that "Wonder Woman" could make the difference. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the upcoming standalone movie could propel fans back to the DCEU if the movie goes right, given that the "Justice League" film will not wander off to far from the launch date.

"Wonder Woman" is scheduled to launch by summer of 2017. The cast is comprised of Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Danny Huston to name a few. Stay locked for more news and updates here at GamenGuide.
