‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: More Goodies Coming With Niantic’s Planned Thanksgiving Event on Nov 24

“Pokemon Go” regained its stature as one of the top apps to get during the Halloween season and Niantic plans to maintain that jump with more events starting this Thanksgiving. The ghost-type Pokemon may still be around but the best bet is that a transition will be happening soon.

At the moment, “Pokemon Go” characters like Ghastly, Meowth, Haunter, Cubone, Marowak and Gengar are still lurking around but they are expected to quietly disappear soon. With more annual celebrations happening, Thanksgiving is lined up next followed by Christmas, April Fool’s and so on.

While that should be grand, the concern of most is which “Pokemon Go” critters will take the place of the ghost-type characters. Spearow may likely be among the frequently spawning characters though this type has been easily popping up under normal circumstances. Could Niantic offer some other rare Pokemon instead?

Much of the potential critters appearing often -- aside from Spearow -- include Psyduck, Golduck, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Ponyta, and Rapidash, Slash Gear reported. Somehow those critters don’t quite make a difference with most “Pokemon Go” players likely coming across them in their daily routine.

Hence, Niantic may be offering something more than the rare spawns for Thanksgiving, which happens on Nov. 24. That includes better egg-hatching, gym battles or even Trainer level ups.

With regards to “Pokemon Go” spawns, expect a boost in appearances this November though there is no promise that the Pokemon popping up will draw praise. It is possible that players will have to do more walking to find out just what Niantic has up its sleeve, picking up from the success of the Halloween period.

If Niantic bombs out with the expectations of “Pokemon Go” this November, there is, of course, the Christmas season to look forward to, according to the Pokemon Go Community. Between Thanksgiving and the upcoming Holiday season, the latter is obviously one that players will be looking forward to in terms of spawns, candy and other goodies needed to fill up respective player PokeDex and inventories.
