'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Release Date, News & Update: Alolan Pokemon To Become Available on 'Pokemon Go'? Legendary Pokemon Special Skills Revealed

Players wait with bated breath for the release of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," the latest installment in the popular Japanese game franchise. In fact, it's getting so much attention lately that it came as no surprise when it broke the record for being Nintendo's most preordered game in history.

Still, the slew of news and updates about the upcoming Nintendo games," Pokemon Sun and Moon" continue to come in waves. First, there's finally some news about the legendaries that will be appearing in the game; and secondly, the anticipated tie-up between "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and "Pokemon Go" is finally happening.

Legendaries in 'Pokemon Sun and Moon'

First, the legendaries that will be appearing in "Pokemon Sun and Moon." For "Pokemon Sun," the legendary Pokemon is called Solgaleo, a powerful Psychic/Steel type equipped with moves like Sunsteel Strike and Metal Body ability. It can also transform into the Radiant Sun phase.

As for "Pokemon Moon," the legendary Pokemon is called Lunala, a Psychic/Ghost type Pokemon. It's packed with moves like Moongiest Beam and Shadow shield ability and can also transform into the Full Moon phase. Both legendaries for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are themed around their respective titular games. However, Eurogamer.net reported that they're only exclusive to their games so far, which means players of "Pokemon Sun" can't capture Lunala, and vice versa.

'Pokemon Sun and Moon' and 'Pokemon Go'

Luckily for Pokemon trainers, there's another place they can capture "Pokemon Sun and Moon" creatures--and that is on the hugely popular "Pokemon Go." According to Forbes, "Pokemon Go" will eventually have some sort of relation with its Nintendo counterpart. This has been further bolstered by the fact that "Pokemon Go" is set to have a major update on the same date that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be launched.

As such, avid fans are expected the Alolan Pokemon on "Pokemon Sun and Moon" to make an appearance in "Pokemon Sun and Moon." It would certainly be in their mutual interests to boost each other in order to keep fans interested in the franchise.
