'Super Mario Run' News and Update, iPhone Release Date: Nintendo To Make Mario Popular as 'Pokemon Go'

After "Pokemon Go" garnered commercial success with approximately $23.3 million earnings, Nintendo is very optimistic that "Super Mario Run" will also follow the footsteps of the augmented-reality game. The company wants this upcoming game to be as popular as "Pokemon Go."

It is normal for a company to desire that its another product to become successful just like its previous product and/or compete its rivals. So after "Pokemon Go" has become a trend, the company is aiming that its mobile game version from the classic game "Super Mario," "Super Mario Run" will also become successful and bring in more revenue.

The upcoming mobile game "Super Mario Run" is expected to come out on iPhone 7. The game was announced during the launch of the aforementioned devices, which was held on Sep. 7.

"Super Mario Run" will appear as an auto-runner game. It may sound like "Temple Run" where players should maintain or continue running by avoiding the obstacles. So the question is, is this "Super Mario" version another clone of "Temple Run"?

In the video below, it shows the demo of the upcoming game. Apparently, it brings nostalgia to those who played the classic "Super Mario" games.

According to MacWorld, "Super Mario Run" release date is in December 2016. Back in Oct. 12, Apple's CEO Tim Cook tweeted a photo of him with Shigeru Miyamoto and other Nintendo staff. He captioned the image, "Getting the hang of Super Mario Run, thanks to Miyamoto-san and his awesome team at Nintendo!"

As of now, the exact "Super Mario Run" release date is not yet confirmed. To keep you updated, keep your tabs on GamenGuide.
