‘The Sims 4’ Gameplay, Game Features & Update: Bug Causes Sims to Overeat; More Details on ‘City Living’ Expansion Here!
The new expansion for "The Sims 4," aptly called "City Living," is the latest update that depicts what urban life is really all about, that of course, in the world of sims. In the latest expansion, your sims can attend Festivals where they can grab a quick bite in the many food stalls available. However, in what seems to be a setback for the 2014-released game, a bug causes some sims to eat nonstop.
Players of the infamous simulation game have long known that sims don't really eat when they're not hungry. The recent cause of alarm in "The Sims 4" is the insurmountable reports of cases where sims who aren't hungry still order from food stalls again and again.
"I've caught my own Sims ordering food again the moment they finish a meal," a Redditor complains. "Doesn't matter what their Hunger meter is like. It can be 100%, they'll finish a meal and then go to order more food immediately." Other comments in "The Sims 4" thread voiced out the same frustrations as well.
In "The Sims 4" and basically the rest of "The Sims" games, eating causes weight gain and sims need to work out in order lose weight. Given the bug, some sims have now blown up in size, which causes players to find ways in order for their characters to stay in shape.
While there are players concerned about their sims caloric intake, others choose not to be bothered by it. "I normally just let it go! It doesn't really interrupt their life in any way, and I usually am looking for a variety for my Sims' appearance," a player chimed on another "The Sims 4" forum.
As of this writing, there haven't been any updates concerning the weight quirks of "The Sims 4." This could mean, either players have learned how to deal with it or they simply chose to let the issue go. Either way, it's safe to say the bug made the game all the more interesting.
