Borderlands 2 DLC: Get Ready To Play As Psycho Krieg On May 14 [TRAILER]

Gearbox Software announced the release date for Borderlands 2′s forthcoming playable Psycho character, Krieg. The company states that starting May 14, players will be able to play as the brand new class, taking on the role of a Psycho for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Krieg, the Psycho Bandit, will be the sixth playable character in Borderlands 2. Krieg is basically a high-risk melee brawler who sports a buzz axe, and possesses a number of psychotic personalities.

The character's three skill sets – Bloodlust, Mania, and Hellborn – will allow Krieg to develop and get stronger while he fights with his trusty axe, while he takes damage, and while he's set on fire, respectively.

Gearbox had previously announced the Psycho downloadable content back at PAX East. Krieg will cost $9.99 on PlayStation 3, and Steam and 800 MS Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Krieg is separate from the Borderland 2′s Season Pass.

The game originally launched back with Gunzerker, Assassin, Commando and Siren, and later the Mechromancer was released in October.
