‘Pokemon Go’ Gen 2 Release Date, Latest News & Update: More Legendary Creatures Joining Ditto In Next Version

Niantic is expected to unveil big changes with “Pokemon Go” Gen 2 and much of that has been brought out into the open through the exploits of data miners. It turns out that there are a lot to look forward to, headlined by new critters such as Crobat and Tyranitar.

This technically appends the report from a previous post which tackled Ditto. Though Ditto was already teased by John Hanke as already in the game with “Pokemon Go” players simply needing to find him, no one has had such luck. Could the fortunes change in Gen 2?

If the discovery from the source codes is any good, there could be more than Ditto, Crobat or Tyranitar. More legendary and mythical critters could be up on “Pokemon Go” Gen 2, armed with new abilities and animations.

Other discoveries from the source code of “Pokemon Go” include Mew and MewTwo, who may finally come out in the open. While getting hold of these critters will likely be via special events, there are the ones acquired via egg-hatching.

In another post, it was mentioned how some of the common ones like Pidgey and Rattata would be taken out. Eevee will be available starting the 5 KM egg and more are expected to reward the hardcore “Pokemon Go” players.

Courtesy of a Redditor named Taiyo4D, a list of the critters to expect when hatching the KM eggs has been detailed. The best bet is, of course, the 5 KM and 10 KM eggs. For example, there are Ekans, Sandshrew, and Oddish for 5 KM eggs. For the ones patient enough to hatch the 10 KM eggs, there is Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee leading the pack.

The bottom line is that egg hatching has gotten its improvements on “Pokemon Go” though Pidgeys are Rattatas can still be obtained through the traditional hunting through walking. More updated features are expected so stay tuned!
