Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Price & Specs: Galaxy Note 7 Owners May Trade Their Handsets to the New Galaxy Note 8

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be launched in September next year. While people think the note series will stop due to the failures and issues of the Galaxy Note 7, the company is expected to announce the new unit before 2016 ends.

The Samsung company has yet to announce any details regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs and prices. Fans are expecting certain specifications of the upcoming handset. It may have an Android Nougat, 6GB RAM, Exynos 8895 processor, 16MP camera and 5.7in Quad-HD or 4K SuperAMOLED display. Price may be more expensive than Note 7. The price for the Note 8 is projected at aound $1200 to $1300 USD.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may also include upgraded features from Galaxy Note 7, like the S Pen and fingerprint scanner. Also, experts suggest that they should switch back to a design with a removable battery.

From the recent issues and problems of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, later after its launch to the market, the customers trust in the company undoubtedly dropped. Incidents of exploding Galaxy Note 7 have been reported by the international market. The incident caused rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be cancelled.

The cause of the exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is on its battery. The Note 7 uses a lithium ion battery. The liquid around inside most lithium ion batteries is highly flammable. If the very thin sheets of plastic that separates opposite sides of the battery cause a short circuit by puncturing, the flammable liquid heats up quickly enough to make an explosion of the battery.

Samsung will let Galaxy Note 7 owners to trade in their devices to get either a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8 when these new handsets are released to the market. The expected launch date of the devices are in February for Galaxy S8 and August for the Note 8 next year. This program could cover back the past issue of the Note 7 and gain back the customer's trust.

Samsung will give 50 percent discount for the owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 if they will trade their handset for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8. The latter will launch on March 2017, a few months earlier than the Note 8 launching date.
