'Super Mario Run' Release Date and Update For iOS and Android, Price: Is Nintendo Using Unity For The Game?

December is just a few weeks away. As of now, what "Super Mario" fans know about "Super Mario Run" is it will be released next month.

In a recent report, video game industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto said that "Super Mario Run" is still slated in December. However, he did not reveal the specific date.

"Super Mario Run" release date for iPhone is still a mystery, but users can signup for notifications in the Apple App Store if they want to be notified about the launch. The upcoming mobile game is also expected to come in Android. However, it may not come in until 2017, Mic reported.

"Super Mario Run" has been confirmed to come as a mobile game. However, there is a possibility it could be also available in Nintendo Switch. This rumor came after Nintendo filed its Japanese patent that revealed the "potential plans to bring the side-scroller to its upcoming console."

The patent mentions "Super Mario Run" by name. Aside from that, it suggests the game could run on "home video game machines." However, this detail doesn't confirm if "Super Mario Run" will come in Nintendo Switch, but there is a possibility.

In a previous reports, the Japanese company wants to make "Super Mario Run" as popular as "Pokemon Go." Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said that company is expecting that its new mobile game will do just well, Bloomberg  reported.

"Super Mario Run" will be available as a free download of a demo version. To access the full experience, players need to pay a one-time fee.

Nintendo used Unity for developing "Super Mario Run." On the official Twitter account of Unity, they announced that they are thrilled that the  creators of "Super Mario" will bring back "Mario" to mobile for the first time.
