People have been waiting for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 for a painfully long time. But is the wait finally over? Will the animated series finally return on Adult Swim early next year?

There have been speculations that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will premiere sometime in April next year. However, it looks like Adult Swim will announce the air date by December and that the series will be back in January 2017.

Remember when co-creator Dan Harmon teased that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 would return "around the end of this year"? It looks like they might finally be done with all 14 (!) episodes just in time. However, the animated series could air a little later than December.

Some fans believe that Adult Swim is not quite ready to broadcast the new season just yet. However, the network could announce the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date sometime in December.

According to CheatSheet, it is possible that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will premiere sometime in April 2017. However, some believe the wait could be a lot shorter. There is a possibility that the animated series will be back on Adult Swim by January next year.

Hopefully, Adult Swim will confirm the good news about "Rick and Morty" Season 3 by December. In the meantime, a fan has decided to keep themselves entertained by creating a real-life version of Rick's butter-passing robot from "Something Ricked This Way Comes" (via Youtube).

Although it is possible that it took a little longer to create the butter-passing robot, it still shares the same dilemma as Rick's creation. The real-life robot also asks what its purpose is and reacts in a similar manner when told that it only passes butter.
