The media outlet further reported that the studio has no specific plans for the release date of "God of War" as the team is still currently working on how to unveil the game to the general public. Although "God of War" is still without a release date, fans can expect the game to come on PS4, as traditionally practiced. The eighth game of the series will break away from the Greek pantheon and will feature Kratos raising a son in the mountains of Scandinavia. This means that fans of "God of War" will see a second era that is loosely based on Norse mythology.

Far from expectations, however, that the upcoming game will be called "God of Wars 4," it will only be called "God of War" considering that it will not be just a soft reboot of the origin story but a completely reimagined adventure.

"I wanted to reimagine the gameplay, give players a fresh perspective and a new tactile experience while delving into the emotional journey of Kratos to explore the compelling drama that unfolds when an immortal demigod makes a decision to change," the "God of War" director Cory Barlog in a PlayStation blog post.

Barlog also revealed that more demos for "God of War" will be released in the near feature as soon as the game is completed. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
