MacBook Pro 2016 Latest News & Updates: Microsoft Surface Book Takes Back Seat To New Apple Notebook

The MacBook Pro 2016 comes as a disappointment to some folks with features that hardly ring a bell. Seeing however that this is a long overdue refresh, it looks like some folks are getting one, regardless if this is forced or not.

Recent reports reveal that the MacBook Pro 2016 has been outshining even past performances under the MacBook line. Notable is the 12-inch MacBook in the list though the Microsoft’s patented Microsoft Surface Book has also been shunned at the moment, Slice Intelligence reported.

Looking at the Slice report, the MacBook Pro 2016 has outsold the 12-inch MacBook 7-to-1 and the Surface Book 5-to-1. For a machine the reportedly failed to satisfy the cravings of a highly demanding consumer market, those are impressive figures. And mind you, these are figures gathered barely a week when the device was released to the market.

One may debate that the comparison is of poor basis. The Microsoft Surface Book and the 12-inch MacBook are old models but the thing here is how each performed when they were released in the market, Slash Gear reported.

Considering that other rival brand notebook companies are struggling to jack up their sales numbers, the MacBook Pro 2016 has pulled off quite a surprise. Looking ahead, however, the MacBook Pro 2016’s good sales performance could come to an end once the new models from rival brands come out.

Microsoft is expected to release its Surface Pro 5 which holds high expectations as well. Call it a spur of the moment success for Apple but considering the backlash it has received due to the specs, the sales figures (so far) have been turning heads.

Among the notable disappointments that the MacBook Pro 2016 brought include the Intel Skylake processor rather than an Intel Kaby Lake chipset and the limitation to only 16 GB of RAM. It looks like most were left with no choice, eventually taking up Apple with what it has to offer.
