'Final Fantasy 15' News & Updates: Check Out What The Game Would Look Like For The PlayStation 1!

It's a few more weeks until "Final Fantasy 15" comes out for both next-gen consoles. The fanbase has already been very hyped for the latest installment of the long-running RPG series. It looks like a true next step in the evolution of the franchise.

But sometimes, it's great to take a look at today's games using the lens of the past. One devoted fan took a lot of time and effort out to reimagine "Final Fantasy 15" as though it came out for the original PlayStation 1 from the late '90s. Game Rant reports that C4DNerd put out his vision of an old-school "Final Fantasy 15" on YouTube, and the nostalgia hit is critical. His version of the game is a complete throwback to old-school "Final Fantasy" aesthetics, with the old Active Time Battle system and weird, clunky motions.

C4DNerd's "Final Fantasy 15" takes a lot of its cues from the original "Final Fantasy 7." The little run-through of his version of the game is a quick adventure into a city that looks a lot like Niflheim, and it ends in a boss battle. After the fight, the "game" asks the player to "please insert Disc 2."

"Final Fantasy 15" has taken a long time to develop by publisher Square Enix; the last game which took a while to make was "Final Fantasy 9" for the PlayStation 1 as well. Meanwhile, Square Enix released a demo disc of the game in Japan today, which featured a lot of bugs and glitches, reports Siliconera. Hopefully, these demo bugs don't mean that the main game has to be delayed any further, as fans have been waiting for too long.

In fact, the game's already gone gold, showing just how excited "Final Fantasy" fans are to finally play the game. "Final Fantasy 15" comes out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29; no word yet on whether the game will be patched for the PS4 Pro.
