'Pokemon GO' Tips, Tricks & Guide: How To Prepare For Generation 2 'Pokemon'

The latest update of "Pokemon GO" have been found to have generation 2 "Pokemon" already coded in the app. This means that Niantic can activate them anytime they want to. This only mean one thing for players of the game, they have to be ready. This guide contains information how players can prepare for the upcoming generation 2 "Pokemon."

Get those Candies Ready

Many of the Pokemon in generation 2 are evolutions from generation 1 "Pokemon." This includes Eevee evolving to Espeon and Umbreon, Onix to Steelix, Slowpoke to Slowking, Horsea to Kingdra, Chansey to Blissey, Oddish to Bellosom, Zubat to Crowbat, Scyther to Scizor, Porygon to Porygon 2, Poliwag to Politoed.

Just take note that some generation 2 Pokemon are alternate evolution from a basic Pokemon while some are third evolutions from an evolved Pokemon. One example is Slowpoke evolves to Slowbro in generation 1 Pokemon. In generation 2, players will now have the chance to either evolve it into Slowbro or Slowking. Another example is Horsea evolving into Seadra in generation 1. Once generation 2 arrives, Seadra can then evolve to Kingdra.

Keep your 10 KM eggs

With a new generation of Pokemon arriving, new "Pokemon" can also be expected to hatch from the eggs. And since higher KM eggs increases the chance of getting a rare "Pokemon," players can save those 10 KM eggs for the possibility to get generation 2 rare Pokemons.

One of the reasons why players are excited of generation 2 is because of the three of their favorite starter Pokemon is included in the batch. This include Chikorita, Totodile and Cyndaquil which also evolves to really strong Pokemon so they're really worth catching or hatching.

Save more Stardust

One of the things a "Pokemon GO" player will do a lot of once generation 2 arrives is evolving lots and lots of Pokemon. Now is also the best time to start saving as the daily bonus update just made it easier for anyone, including busy people. Just 5 to 15 minute of playing everyday can earn as much 3,500 Stardust each week plus additional bonus if players do it for 7 consecutive days.
