Good news for the fans of the sci-fi action adventure series as Amazon has reportedly confirmed to pick up the"Limitless" Season 2. Additionally, Lady Gaga is also predicted to join the show's cast.

Cancellation and New Networks

"Limitless" was initially met with much enthusiasm from fans and critics alike. However, after the first season, CBS has confirmed that the show has ultimately been cancelled. There have already been reports of the mother network and even the showrunners lobbying "Limitless" Season 2 to other networks.

Showrunner Craig Sweeny and Bradley Cooper have reportedly endorsed "Limitless" Season 2 to networks such as The CW, Netflix, NBC, FX, and others, to no avail. However, many of these networks have expressed interest in picking the show up, but are just skeptical of the plot.

All things considered though, there have been reports stating that Amazon is actually considering to air "Limitless" Season 2. However, the plot revolving around drug use still worries the network. The networks are cynical as this premise may paint them in a bad light.

Amazon to Pick Up the Show?

If any network, even Amazon, will pick up "Limitless" Season 2, then the drug plot may see a little tinkering. This slight change would greatly affect the show, but will be for the better. There have been reports saying that the series is now actually under production. As it turns out, "Limitless" is just looking for a network to air the show.

Lady Gaga Joins Cast

There have also been reports attributing the cancellation of "Limitless" in CBS to the lack of star power of its main actor, Jake McDorman. With this, one of the currently biggest stars in the industry is set to join the cast of the show. After debuting for a cameo role in "American Horror Story," Lady Gaga will reportedly join the cast of "Limitless" Season 2.

This rumor first appeared when Lady Gaga starred in "A Star is Born," the directorial debut of "Limitless" showrunner Bradley Cooper. If this were true though, then "Limitless" Season 2 is surely off to a good start.
