NBA News: Jeremy Lin Injury Progressing But No Timeline of Return

The Brooklyn Nets' point guard, Jeremy Lin - who injured his hamstring back in November 2 against the Detroit Pistons - still has no definite time when he will return to play. But signs that it could be earlier than expected are already showing.

As reported by Sarah Kustok prior to the Brooklyn Nets game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Jeremy Lin will be re-evaluated in the next two weeks but Linsanity is already running around the court and trying to aim for an early comeback.

Without a point guard, the Brooklyn Nets look into their rookie, Yogi Ferrel, who scored 13 points but failed to help the team get over the hump. For the past few games, the void left by Jeremy Lin was still difficult to fill in even for the rookie.

Missing his fourth game in a row, Jeremy Lin was the catalyst of the Brooklyn Nets' offense and had the averages of 15 points, 6.2 assists and 1.4 steals before falling to the injury. In one game this 2016-2017 NBA season, Jeremy Lin almost had a triple-double against the Indiana Pacers with 21 points, nine rebounds and nine assists to carry his team to a 103-94 win.

The Brooklyn Nets are still anchored by their center Brook Lopez, who just came from a back-to-back concussion, is still shaking off the cobwebs by sitting him and will even skip practice on Wednesday. The Brooklyn Nets are still trying to find their identity even more now that their one-two punch are both sidelined.

"We felt it would be best to take one of the next two off, and just go for it after that," Lopez said. "I see it as more of a ramping up process. I feel my minutes will increase, and hopefully we'll feel more comfortable in throwing me into back-to-backs here and there. Obviously it'll be a committee decision; but being the one playing I feel I have some input."
