‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ Release Date, News & Update: New Trailer Shows Why Sony’s RPG Is Nominated For Most Anticipated Game Award

The new trailer for "Horizon Zero Dawn" will prove to fans why the upcoming role-playing game from Sony Interactive Entertainment has been nominated for the Most Wanted Game in this year's Golden Joystick Awards. Other nominations include Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Console Game and Best Show from Best of E3 Game Critics Award.

The new trailer of "Horizon Zero Dawn" with title "Creating a New World" reveals the open world of the game. The gameplay is something unique because story telling in an open world in a role-playing game is something that game developers have not done before. According to Herman Hulst, the Guerilla Games managing director, the gameplay is something fresh and a wonderful challenge for the team.

Players of "Horizon Zero Dawn" will have different environments to explore like deserts, forests, jungles, mountains covered with snow and even ruins. The game will also have the normal day and night cycle and even a dynamic weather. A rainy day means reduce visibility for the players.

Jan-Bart Van Beek, the game's art director, said that in "Horizon Zero Dawn," players will have more freedom as opposed to "Killzone" where it is very linear. He added that they were looking at the world at 360 degree to get all different directions that the player could approach.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" is exclusive to PlayStation 4 but will be forward compatible with PlayStation 4 Pro. Enjoying the benefit of the latest game console, it will feature finest detail, enhanced colors and more detailed environments.

As mentioned earlier, "Horizon Zero Dawn" has received nominations, but it has actually won the Best Original Game by E3 Game Critics Award. Sony's RPG will be released on Feb 28, 2017.
