"Shut In", a film directed by Farren Blackburn and released last November 11, 2016 in United States, has gained a spot light in the world of internet. Information has kept rolling around that the movie isn't that much interesting.
The story of "Shut In" is about May Portman, played by Naomi Watts, a child psychologist living in a large, rural New England, house her teenage stepson Stephen ( Charlie Heaton), who's been in a catatonic state for six months after being involved in a car accident that killed his father. Cut off from the outside world during a storm, she starts to believe someone is inside her house trying to harm them.
Moreover, The Wrap suggested that " Shut In" -despite its impressive cast -is, well, not good. It also further added that even it doesn't feel appropriate to be negative and to criticize artwork still it's nothing interesting narratively or aesthetically which insist that such is a poorly-made film.

In fact AV Club added that the show's thriller take a long time to get even remotely thrilling. "Shut In" spend more of its first half assembling elements that do, at least, curiosity about just how they'll combine to create havoc.
But despite this, Watts does the best that she can in the movie "Shut In", but there is little she - or any actress - could do the lines. Some supporting players also go through their predictable paces with professionalism.
