Microsoft Surface Book 2 Specs, Features & Latest Update: How New Surface Book will be Received; Is it Better than New MacBooks?
Smooth-sailing isn't what you would describe Apple's recent MacBook launch, but Microsoft might fare better than its archrival. The Surface Studio is well-received so far, and last month's update even brought more consumers flocking towards Microsoft's flagship. The question is, will the release of the Microsoft Surface Book 2 outperform its sibling, or the MacBook Pro 2016 even?
The updated variant of the new Surface Book boasts a 16 GB RAM, a Core i7, and a 1 TB SSD fresh out of the box. Although still not technically the Microsoft Surface Book 2, fans have hailed it a powerful device that could shove the MacBook Pro 2016 machines up on the shelves.
This year's update on the Surface Book saw some two internal changes: an increased battery power of 16 hours and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M with 2GB GDDR5 memory. Although the changes did not make it all different from last year's model, the updated version has granted users of contentment, albeit lacking a Thunderbolt 3 port. With the upcoming release of the Microsoft Surface Book 2, Apple is slapped by a tremendous amount of pressure.
"Microsoft rates the new Surface Book's battery for up to 16 hours of video playback. In my own test...the machine lasted a stunning 16 hours and 15 minutes," Dana Wollman says on Engadget. "To be clear, there's barely anything else like this on the market," she adds. A thing to be watched out for in Microsoft Surface Book 2 is its immense battery power; although, an impression made out of the update is a more superior battery life.
A clear matter as of the moment is that Apple is still perceived Alpha among competitors. However, with Microsoft gradually getting a good grasp of what and how a laptop should be, it's not at all impossible for another tech behemoth to be placed on the topmost spot. Microsoft Surface Book 2, to conclude, is a thing worthy of waiting for.
