NBA News And Update: Jeremy Lin Injury Is A Blessing In Disguise For Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets fans are still wondering when Jeremy Lin will would comeback from his hamstring injury that he got in November 2, 2016 against the Detroit Pistons. Fast forward to today, the Brooklyn Nets' center, Brook Lopez is also fighting his own injuries but all of which seems to be a blessing in disguise for the team and the organization.

Watching from the bench, Jeremy Lin had more time to get to know his teammates and mentor them while nursing the injury. More so, Jeremy Lin had shown leadership with his team and even tried to draw up some plays and act like an assistant coach from the sidelines.

"I just want to see the team succeed. I want to see young guys do well," Jeremy Lin said. "I guess I'll just talk until Kenny (Atkinson) tells me to shut up.

As a point guard, Jeremy Lin got to know more the tendencies of his teammates and once he returns to the basketball court, he will take whatever advantage he can to get the Brooklyn Nets to contend for a playoff spot.

"I'm learning so much just the first few games playing with these guys, so, basically, everything I've learned about each player and how I feel the game should be controlled or the variety or how we run different things, I'm going to try to give as much as I can to whoever is controlling the ball or is in charge at that moment."

The mentorship of Jeremy Lin to his teammates is something that Kenny Atkinson welcomes and sees it as a positive while the injury is being treated.

"There's a certain confidence to Jeremy, a certain leadership ability," expressed Kenny Atkinson, the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. "It helps the group in tough times. But I thought last game in the second half, we didn't have Jeremy, but Brook (Lopez) and (Trevor) Booker were in the huddle being very encouraging to Sean and Isaiah. So again, leadership's got to come from other places, and I did see good signs of that."
