EA has announced that the company’s upcoming first person shooter Battlefield 4 will release on October 29 for PC, and current generation and next generation platforms from Sony and Microsoft.

Moreover, EA also tells Eurogamer that Battlefield 4 will be arriving on Nov. 1 in the UK for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. As for the next gen console version of the game, it will only be determined once the release date for next-gen consoles in that region is made final. Wii U version of the game, however, will not happen.

Alongside a new post on GameStop (now removed) also leaked an upcoming feature of Battlefield 4 called ‘Levolution.’ Although the post has been removed from the GameStop page, Reddit managed to get hold of the description and posted it on its site.

“But you've never seen a war like this. So put on your dog tags, lace up your boots and pack some extra socks, because Battlefield 4 is coming. Just when you thought you had the lay of the land, Battlefield 4 introduces Levolution, a brand new way to affect the landscape in real-time using interactive elements,” the description states.

“Can't hit that guy behind cover? Destroy his cover! Feel like that building is a modernist eyesore in what is clearly a Victorian-inspired village? Enhance your favorite architectural styles with TNT! Featuring new weapons, a new war, and a slew of new gameplay, Battlefield 4 brings a whole new sense of realism to the way you battle in the campaign and online multiplayer.”

The description also states that players will be helped by the new sandbox-style mission layouts that will arrive with the game and will let the player decide how to accomplish a certain mission.

“Pick up a jet and take your battle to the skies, or pilot an APC full of buddies and take your war straight to the enemy. Snipe silently from the hills or charge in firing a machine gun and yelling your favorite classic rock song. We recommend ‘Highway to Hell’,” the page adds.

Battlefield 4 is the 13th installment in the Battlefield series.
